Have you ever experienced that feeling when it seems like your head is lost in a cloud? That’s the sensation I’ve been grappling with lately.
I’m not entirely sure that’s the best way to describe how I feel, but it was the first thing that came to mind. Lately, I’ve been experiencing a mental fog, a state of mind where clarity seems to elude me. This has led to a significant decrease in my appetite to the point where I’m essentially fasting. However, this ‘fast’ isn’t a deliberate choice; it’s a physical manifestation of the mental fog I’m grappling with.
My energy is the same, but my mind and spirit feel a little freer, unburdened by the usual clutter of thoughts and emotions, like it does during a fast.
I’ve spent most of my day trying to make sense of what I’m feeling, and just as I started typing to explain it to y’all, I was able to put it into words. Now everything makes sense.Â
I feel free!
My Main Message
We can’t become hostages to things that we can’t control. It’s so easy to let external circumstances, like a sudden change in plans or a disappointing outcome, dictate our emotions and thoughts, pulling us into a cycle of anxiety and frustration. Instead, we must recognize that some aspects of life we can’t change, and accepting that can be incredibly liberating.
When we let go of those uncontrollable elements, we can redirect our focus inward. Embracing the uncertainty helps us find clarity and can even lead to personal growth. It’s about shifting from helplessness to empowerment, choosing how we respond rather than letting external factors dictate our feelings. This choice, this power, helps us feel in control and confident in our ability to navigate life’s challenges.
Ultimately, finding peace in the chaos requires practice and patience. It’s a journey of understanding that while we may not control everything, we do control our reactions and how we navigate our experiences. This realization is crucial in maintaining our mental and emotional well-being. It’s a reassurance that, with time and effort, we can find peace and stability even in the most chaotic circumstances.
Conclusion
So while my mind may be slipping out of the fog as I type this, my peace and desire to let go of what I can’t control have grown stronger.Â
How I’m looking after myself this weekend
Focusing on being still and enjoying the end of summer.
How are you looking after yourself?
You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

I think I will do the same as you this weekend. The week was busy, I need stillness, so that is what will happen. Have a good weekend, Bella!
