There are over 8 billion people in the world. With so many people out there, you’d think at least one of them would be perfect for me. Don’t you think?
I found my person!
Can you imagine saying that and really knowing it’s true?
You find someone who can walk with you through pain and struggle, because tough times are part of life. But with that one person, they’ll hold your hand and help guide you back to a place that feels like home. When you’re hurting, they feel it too. When you’re happy, they’re right there, sharing your excitement.
That one person lights up when you walk into a room full of strangers or people who make them feel out of place. They feel safe because they see you, and suddenly, they feel like they can handle anything.
That one person doesn’t need you to explain your quirks—they just get it, and they love you for it. When they hold your hand, your awkwardness fades away. You feel relief when they reach for you, knowing they’ll always have your back.
Your person makes you feel at home, even when the world feels harsh or unsafe. They guide you through places where you can’t see clearly, and because you trust them, you get through it together. You just know they saw your blind spot and helped you through safely.
Your person doesn’t need social media approval. They just need you, and they don’t care if the world sees you together on your best days. For you both, the best days are the everyday moments you share.
With billions of people in the world, I hope you find your person. Then, the next time someone approaches you, you can say, “Nope, I have my person, and I hope you find yours too. Because I’m not it.”

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

Hmm, I’ve written a lot about this, and about how I eventually met my wife of 22 years.
To answer the question in the title, the answer is NO, because not everyone is capable of meaningful relationships. Some (for example) have Narcissict Personality Disorder for which there is no cure.

Finding your person is great. It’s like a superpower to have that many haven’t yet found. It’s an important feeling.

I’m happy to say I know what it’s like to find one’s person. Unfortunately, I tragically lost that person too, but I still have the memories!

I founded my person 30 years ago. It’s lovely when both parties feel safe, and loved. Blissful!! ❤️
