To Weigh Or Not To Weigh

For years, I started each morning by hopping on the scale, letting that insignificant, mood-snatching device dictate how I felt for the rest of the day. Not anymore. I’m done letting a number control my happiness. To hell with the scale—take your life back! Instead, rally a group of friends, like I did, and challenge yourselves to give up foods that don’t truly nourish your bodies.

How To Get Going In The Right Direction

Surround yourself with people who ignite your soul and fuel your desire to grow. Having friends on the same journey is not only motivating—it’s also far less expensive than hiring a nutritionist or personal trainer. Of course, if hiring a professional is within your means, their expertise can offer invaluable guidance and support.

Things That I’ve Noticed

Throughout my career, I’ve worked with clients from all walks of life—whether they needed to lose 10 pounds or 100, were battling depression, diabetes, kidney failure, recovering from strokes, facing postpartum depression, menopause, teenage blues, or even addiction. Despite their differences, they all share one thing in common: battling weight.

We’re all striving for the same goal, but our journeys are unique. Each of us needs a plan tailored to our own body and life. So stop comparing yourself to others, and stay off the scale!

Game Plan For Success

Figure out what works best for your body, and be kind to yourself along the way. Remember, getting healthy is a journey—so embrace and enjoy the process!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I am honored!

  1. Wonderful and insightful post. I couldn’t agree more. Self-esteem and happiness can only come from how you feel about yourself internally when no one is around; external sources like the scale, or your neighbor, or the really great lighting in certain room…are just breadcrumbs leading you on an endless journey. thank you for sharing!
