It’s been a long week, and writing was the last thing I had time for, but I didn’t skip leg day!
Every once in a while, life will become a lot, and at that point, you only have time to do the things that are on the top of your priority list. And what doesn’t make the list will sit there until you have time for it?
Which brings me to today’s post!
For the last two days, I had to put writing on hold. I didn’t want to, but it was either giving up writing or skipping my workouts. So, y’all know which one I chose; it wasn’t writing. My mental and physical health depends on my workout regimen.
Sweating and pumping iron brings me peace and the strength I need to conquer the day. Not only that, working out is my way of giving thanks for waking up and being able to move.
We are able to sweat
We are able to move
We are able to work on our cardiovascular system
We are able to make goals and reach them
Showing gratitude to your body is always a good idea. In fact, the more you praise your body and treat it like the impressive vessel it is, the more it will respond positively. Our body responds to positive reinforcement just like we do. The better someone treats us, the more we respond in an excitable, beautiful way.
It was hard not conversing with my blog besties, but health comes first.
Do you make your mental and physical health a priority?
If not, what do you think is preventing you from making it one of your top priorities?
I hope y’all are having a fantastic weekend, and I would love to read how you are looking after yourself this weekend.
You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

I get that feeling of not working out is more potent than not Blogging.

Oh good! Just take it slow and do what you love. Sometimes I read while I’m riding my in door bike or I watch a movie on my phone. And before I know it 45-60 minutes has gone by.

I am learning the hard way what letting yourself go in some fitness areas does for you. It brings pain. Crippling, excruciating pain! I let my core exercise go lax, and now I’m having such bad nerve pain in my back, that it’s debilitating.
But! You can come back! By doing my back stretches and core exercises, I’m feeling better one day at a time! I walked over 20 miles today, but that didn’t help my back. I HAD to do something, and through an internet search, I found the answer. After just two days, I saw improvement. I have to keep it up though. Don’t stop believing, because it really works!

Sorry- I walked 20 miles this week! Doh!

Oh my goodness Kim, I was thinking, where the heck did she walk to yesterday? LOL
But 20 miles is still AMAZING for the whole week.

I thought so-especially after several months of barely any noticeable steps!

Yes Kim!!! I’m like you, if I don’t move my back will go out on me and the pain usually will last two weeks. Strengthening your core is such a game changer.

Dear Belladonna,
I’ve been a huge fan of your content, and especially love the way you captivate your audience. That’s one thing I really hope to learn from you.
I recently wrote a piece on Why and How To Be An Optimistic Pessimist and would love your feedback to learn how I can make it better.
This is the link to the piece: https://decatalyst7.wordpress.com/2023/10/26/the-balancer-1-optimism-or-pessimism-which-is-better/

Oh my!
Yesterday was one of those days when a silly mistake would spoil all your plans.
I made one error with my blog, rectifying it took all the day.
It was so painful

The best thing about life is grace! Choosing you should never feel guilty. Working out brings the perfect endorphins and adrenaline we get from it, allows us to show up as our best self in other areas of our life! Balance scales can look more like a see-saw where something is getting more attention on one particular day but then we get to pivot and adjust. Rock on Bella!

Yes to all of this! I couldn’t agree more.
Perfect that you said it looks like a see saw, that is spot on.

Yesterday I did some stretches, even though I’m sick. But working out for 5 minutes makes me feel great already. When I’m healthy I work out for 10 minutes, 20 minutes is my maximum.

I ran across your post today, it completely aligned with the mindset that I recently recognized for myself. I put off my workouts due other aspects of life. In these last two weeks I put my workouts first for my sanity. It is very important for me to stay focused for my mental and physical health!
At times I need to go harder with my workouts to achieve my goals! I completely understand what you’re saying. Keep going ! One of my workouts mantra is LETS GET IT!!! Great Healthy post !!
