Please answer the question so she can shut her mouth!
If you read my post yesterday, If Monday was a person then you know I woke up on the wrong side of the bed, and Monday was whooping my butt. I called her (Monday) a bully because she relentlessly made my day unbearable.
Right when the day was approaching the light, I had to take my daughter to the orthodontist. Yes, I know there will be other kids there for the orthodontist to look at their braces, but I was not ready for the most annoying little voice I have ever encountered.
I was still in a mood, and on days like this, I stay home, but when you have kids to care for, ya gotta when you gotta go.
So here I go walking into the sitting area with my book in hand and glasses in the other hand. All I want to do now is get as comfortable as possible so I can read my book.
But obviously, that was too much for me to want!
There she was, a little girl that looked about 9 or 10 years old. She was doing spin after spin in this tight sitting area. She stepped on other parents’ toes as she clumsily spun in circles. Myself and other victims, okay, not victims but very much ANNOYED parents, shared eye rolls and heavy sighs.

Finally, she decided to sit her spinning self down and kept yelling out:
CAN I, CAN I, CAN I, Mom, you promised I could when we get home. So CAN I, CAN I, CAN I, CAN I.
MOM: I’ll think about it
DAUGHTER: Mom, you really shouldn’t lie and say one thing and then say something else. SO CAN I, CAN I, CAN I.
MOM: We’ll see sweetie
Daughter: All of my friends are going to be there, SO CAN I, CAN I, CAN I, CAN I, CAN I, CAN I
ANNOYED MALE VICTIM: For the love of God, can she?
Y’all, I don’t think I have ever laughed that hard in my life. It is an understatement to say that everyone in the waiting area was relieved to have this child shut it up.
So thank you, my fellow annoyed victim, you turned my frown upside down!
You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

I think I would have stood up and applauded. Ha, ha, another reason why I love kids, hate parents. Ha, ha. I don’t really mean that, but you get the idea.

I’m with you!!!! I felt like giving high fives all around the room. I swear most kids have more sense then their parents. This is why I give teachers gifts throughout the year. They have to deal with spoiled kids and spoiled/ cray parents 🤦🏽♀️

Exactly. Everyone has had a cranky kid at one time or another. There’s no way around that. As a parent, though, I always thought it was my job to make sure we didn’t disturb others and if we were, then at least apologize!

Yes Bryan!!!! I agree completely, a simple sorry goes a long way.

I’m feeling for the mom…maybe, but yeah…I worked retail, some kids are angels, some, their parents needed training…..and as for Monday, mine ended watching the devil wears prada twice…I need a trip to NYC soon….

Kids, parents and retail is a horrible mix! They are both the worse in a small public place. Love the devil wears Prada!

Yeah, I would’ve said something, too. Lol. I understand buddy’s pain, he couldn’t hold it in. And that young one’s mom knew she was being annoying. I’m sure she didn’t care.

Kids are always so honest. Elementary teachers need lots of patience or they end up becoming patients. “Can I do this?” “No, no, no…..”

I could never be a teacher and I think they deserve so much praise and more money!!!!

They need more power in the classroom, so if they need to go to the Administrator they will support their decisions.

Just last night, the granddaughters were over, with two of my daughters, and my husband. We were enjoying a glass of wine and the girls were dancing around us, stepping on toes, narrowly missing wine glasses. I find their energy to be nonstop and unending. I marvel at how they seem to be in motion at all times. It reminds me to be grateful that I had my kids in my twenties, when I had the stamina and patience to survive. Great post, love the stranger to spoke everyone’s mind. Hugs, C
